Your favourite colour just might not suit the room you are decorating or having done. We have customers coming into the showroom who have been searching on the Internet and ordering all sorts of samples from various companies that they get so overwhelmed with choice they do not know what to do.
Another problem is that the wood flooring samples that you receive through the post or are given to take home are just too small to imagine them on the larger scale. Something that looks lighter in a small sample can actually look a lot darker when put down on a larger scale and vice versa.
At First Floors on Fenwick Road in Giffnock, we have the customer’s needs in mind and what we like to show is bigger samples. This provides the customer with a much better idea of what the product will look like on a larger area and gives you a real feel for the finished result.
We like our customers to take their time and pick out a few samples that they really like and if they want to order then great, but we recommend that we make an appointment. This involves us visiting your home with the larger samples where you can see the in situ.
The fantastic thing about seeing wood flooring samples this way is that you can see what the product will look like in your house. All homes have different lighting and this is such an important factor to take into consideration when choosing your flooring option. A sample that you may have thought would have gone perfectly well with your colour schemes etc, could just not be the one when placed in the area to be floored. Lighting really does differ from each home.
