We offer a supply only, supply and fit or fitting only service on this product. We recently installed carbonized solid strand woven bamboo flooring in a customer’s home on the south side of Glasgow. Carbonized woven bamboo is much harder wearing than any other hardwood on the planet and for this customer it was ideal. Bamboo has a higher natural fibre than any other wood, it’s also hygienic, has antibacterial and antifungal properties, it grows faster than any other wood so is environmentally friendly and sustainable, and will last for generations. Our customer uses a motorized wheelchair so the floor needed to be hardwearing as well as looking great in his home. The existing floor was an inexpensive and average quality laminate but unfortunately this just didn’t stand up to the wear and tear of the heavy motorized chair. This customer wanted a floor that was attractive, extremely practical, solid and hardwearing and would last forever. A tall order, but the solid strand woven bamboo flooring did the job. We suggested the bamboo due to its strength – it’s actually comparable to solid oak flooring in cost, and simplicity of installation.
