Scotland’s Best Flooring Company Finalists Announced
First Floors is thrilled to have been announced as a finalist in the category Scotland’s Best Flooring Company in the Home Improvement Awards 2015!
We are thrilled to have received so many votes to help us get to this point and from this point onwards, it’s really about what the judges think of our business!
So what makes us such a great flooring company? We’ve been established for over 21 years and have managed to move with the times, keeping abreast of flooring trends and innovations, showcasing some of the most unique, high-quality, well designed and manufactured flooring choices available today.
What started as an online business has grown into a fully fledged 3,500 square foot showroom with carpet, luxury vinyl, laminate, solid and engineered wood, ceramic and porcelain tiles and artificial grass on display from all major brands including Amtico, Karndean, Alternative Flooring, Harvey Maria, Ulster Carpets, Westex, Ryalux, Axminster, Mohawk, Quick-Step, Boen and much more.
We first opened our doors in 2011, with a small shop unit but soon saw the need for a great carpet showroom. That’s why we expanded into a much larger retail space to showcase all the carpet options we could.
In addition, we allowed space for a children’s play area as well as a fabulous coffee bar to help our customers, and their children, enjoy their floor-buying experience.
Not only do we have a showroom with experts in their field on-hand to offer advice, we also provide a free home consultation service, whereby we will visit our customers homes with samples, offer advice on what will work with their decor and lifestyle, and measure up for an accurate quotation. And all this with no hard sell. If you don’t want to order – no problem!
Our fitters are highly trained and qualified and are certified to work with Amtico, Karndean and the complicated herringbone design.
We have numerous five-star reviews, and although we offer floors for all budgets, one thing we never compromise on is customer service.
Finally, we are involved with local business improvement and are an integral part of the Giffnock BID helping to make Giffnock Village a successful, prosperous business district. We are helping to organise events to bring people to the area and to ensure that local people buy from local businesses.
So, wish us luck – the winner will be announced at a Gala Dinner in August!
