At First Floors expansion plans are underfoot!
We are expanding into a large warehouse which is 2,500sq ft of space allowing us to massively expand our offering. Although we can source any flooring, we can now have larger displays and samples, a more expansive range of products on offer, and we will also be offering a wide range of carpets and rugs. We are also looking at offering furniture as an option, but this is dependent on finding the right suppliers!
The warehouse is right behind the shop, and will be accessed through the back of our existing showroom. The shop is being renovated to allow for this, with a glass facade on the back of the showroom. There is customer parking at the back, as you can see from the ariel shot, so no more worrying about a limit on parking which at the front of the shop is currently 30 minutes.
At present in the existing showroom we have Moduleo flooring, Amtico, Karndean, Quick Step and other leading manufacturers and brands of wood flooring including solid hardwood, engineered wood and laminate flooring. We already have extra large wood flooring samples, and luxury vinyl flooring stands.
We have been established for 21 years but this is the first time we have expanded into such a large space. We started as an Internet business, but saw the need for a showroom for people to see the wide range of products on offer and get advice. We are expanding due to demand, and pride ourselves on being a one stop shop where customers can come for advice, get a free home consultation and measuring service, have the flooring fitted and a full aftercare service.
We will also be extending our commercial flooring offering, with a trade counter and a commercial flooring specialist on hand to answer questions and take orders.
Our existing wood flooring showroom is at 176 Fenwick Road and located close to the Orchard Park Hotel. We are also within walking distance to Giffnock Rail station, Wholefoods Market and parking for customers. The new showroom as you can see does have a large car park, right behind the existing showroom.
