This week we undertook one of our must stunning installations – a parquet herringbone oak floor for a stunning home in Park Circus in the heart of Glasgow. Park Circus has some historic properties and to see them lovingly restored and decorated like this is great to see as so many of these properties end up as business offices.
Our customer wanted something traditional to match the character of the property, and this parquet herringbone oak floor by Boen was just the thing they had been looking for, for quite a while. Installing herringbone oak does take a little longer than fitting a traditional oak board. Our fitter Gemell did an amazing job as you can see from the before and after photographs, and we couldn’t have hoped for a better result! This particular Herringbone floor had a brushed and oiled finish. Boen is an international company supplying hardwood flooring of an exceptional quality, and it’s a product that First Floors has had no hesitation in recommending to customers. Boen is sold in over 40 countries. One of the most recent developments from Boen is their ready-to-use natural oil surface called NaturalPlus, and in recent years it has continued to invest in production development. Another popular option for those seeking a herringbone oak floor is Karndean or Amtico, a luxury vinyl with an extremely hardwearing finish. If you would like to see the herringbone oak options, pop into our new larger showroom in Giffnock, Glasgow set over 2,500 square feet where you will find samples and information on not only solid wood, engineered wood, luxury vinyl and laminate but also carpet and even artificial grass. The new showroom is located at the back of the existing showroom on Fenwick Road, just a few doors away from the Orchard Park Hotel and Restaurant.
