Scotland’s Best Flooring Company Finalist
We are thrilled to have been named as a finalist in the annual Home Improvement Awards in the category ‘Scotland’s Best Flooring Company 2018’. We are so grateful to everyone who voted, enabling us to make it to the final yet again! Find out why we should win for the second year running:
We started First Floors 24 years ago, opening our first Glasgow showroom in 2012. Since then we have gone from strength to strength and are still expanding our range of flooring to residents and business owners in Glasgow and surrounding areas.
What started with one man with a suitcase full of samples, evolved to a small retail unit and now in 2018 to the largest independent flooring retailer in Glasgow’s southside with a 4,500sq ft award winning showroom.
Our showroom showcases some of the most innovative and technologically advanced flooring products available today. We retail a wide range of carpet, rugs, luxury vinyl tiles, engineered hardwood, solid hardwood and laminate flooring from some of the world’s best known brands as well as some lesser known up-and-coming flooring brands.
Our brands include Amtico, Karndean, Moduleo, Ulster, Britons, Alternative Flooring, Balterio, Jacaranda, Boen, Cormar, Fibre, Ryalux, Lifestyle, Quick-Step, Kahrs, Cormar, Panaget Parquet and more.
We can also offer customers the opportunity to have a rug made out of any of our carpets with our bespoke rug service and can even have it edged in a colour of your choosing and you can choose any shape or size.
One of the reasons we have made it to the final of the Home Improvement Awards 2018 is our dedication to exceptional customer service and product offering, not to mention our fantastic reputation. We even have a children’s area and a coffee bar so that our customers can enjoy browsing for flooring and take their time choosing their perfect floor.
When anyone buys a floor from us we will provide them with a folder with information on how to take care of their floor, and are always on hand for help and advice.
We feel that floor coverings don’t get quite the same the recognition that it should when it comes to interior design. Today, the floor coverings available to you enable you to make a bold statement, allowing you to give your home the ‘wow factor’ it deserves.
Another reason we are in the running is that as well as our knowledgeable staff, we provide a free home consultation whereby we can visit your home, offer decor advice, measure up and make sure that your sub-floor is suitable for the floor you have chosen.
For customers who have accessibility issues we will take extra large samples to their home and we also provide a free measuring and planning service.
We are thrilled to be finalist in yet another flooring award, alongside our March win for Scotland’s Best Independent Retailer 2018 at the Scottish Independent Retail Awards, and we are also finalist for no less than three awards at the East Renfrewshire Chamber Of Commerce Business Awards for Best Family Business, Best Small Business and Best Independent Retailer.
