Create Unique Rugs and Runners
At First Floors we realised that there was a real need for people to have a great choice of rugs and runners. There are many retailers out there that have a fantastic range of wool and man made rugs in various designs. For example, we 
retail rugs from many of our carpet suppliers such as Jacaranda, Alternative Flooring, Brintons, Ulster, Clan and more, but often our customers would walk away feeling that they couldn’t find quite what they were looking for.
Going one step better than the ready-made rugs, Alternative Flooring has a range of natural carpets made from Jute, Sisal, Coir and Seagrass as well as a wide range of wool carpets including some really
funky designs in their Quirky B collection which includes polka dot, stripes and even animal print. Alternative Flooring offers a service called ‘Make Me A Rug’ whereby you can have these made into a rug, doormat, or even a stair runner with an edging of your choosing, such as cotton, leather or even suede in a range of colours. You can even have a layered edge combining several colours.
We saw the popularity of this service and after several requests for tartan and polka dot rugs, we decided to provide a service whereby 
you can have any of our carpet ranges from any of our brands including Cormar, Brintons, Ulster, Ryalux, Axminster, iSense, Talenzo, Mohawk and more made into a rug of any size and edged with a colour of your choice. This allows you to choose a Brintons dog tooth or polka dot design, or perhaps an Ulster tartan rug to match your decor. What’s more, it doesn’t take long to have your unique rug made for you.
With engineered hardwood flooring continuing to be one of the most desired types of flooring for people’s homes in and around Glasgow, a rug or runner is a great way to bring some colour and warmth to your room and what better way than with a completely unique wool rug.
